I’ve never had a problem eating or not eating something that is on a special diet. For me, it was between meals, when I eat. My mom used to joke that I ate like a cow to waste the whole day! It can be drunk hot or cold, depending on who you want to be. I drink hot during the day, but you drink a tall cold glass, and right before I go to bed. You should drink at least 4 cups a day, but if you can get 5 or 6, so much the better!

1 gallon of water
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon.

Route description:

Bring the water to a boil along with the ginger and cinnamon. You can also use ginger and/or cinnamon, but if you want, you can rub it fresh-even better. Simmer for about 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Add the tea to the pot and cover with a lid. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Strain and pour into a container (preferably glass). You can drink it hot or add ice. I like to double and sometimes triple this recipe and store it in the refrigerator for later use.
